(Wave start times will be posted at registration) The water is expected to be 78-82 F on race day. The water is clear with a dark bottom giving it a tea like look. Athletes will swim counter clockwise in the lake. Follow the buoys set every 50 yards to stay on course for a quick swim. The water temperature has been above the 78 degrees wet suit legal limit the past three years, so wet suits will probably not be allowed this year. Swim cut-off time will be 1 hour and 10 minutes after the start of the last wave.
Transition
Athletes will exit the water and run about 200 yards on pavement and carpet to the transition area located in a large grassy field in front of the Pioneer Hall. Athletes are allowed to bring a small duffel bag into the transition. You will be able to place this bag under your bike during the race. Athletes will walk or run their bikes in the transition and will mount their bikes after the mount line outside of the transition area.

Bike cut-off time will be 5 hours and 30 minutes after the swim cut-off.

Run cut-off time will be 8 hours and 30 minutes after the start of the last swim wave. Athletes will not be allowed to start the third loop of the run course after 3:00 PM.
